History of Mount Olive

A group of individuals came together in the early 1960s with a vision to create a Lutheran church family in West Valley. From the construction of our Sanctuary to the building of our preschool, childcare center, and fellowship hall, our vision has stayed true to the Gospel by making disciples through Word and Sacrament.

About Our Church

There are two main bodies that govern our church:
Elders, who oversee worship, ministry, and support our Pastor in caring for our congregation.
Ministry Council, who oversee the daily operations of Mt. Olive, including the budget, facilities, and other operations.

Consitution and Bylaws

Each Lutheran church creates its own set of governing documents. Ours can be found here:

Lay-Leaders & Volunteers

While we have several staff and elected leaders to oversee the spiritual and financial responsibilities of the church, many positions are led by members of our congregation. If you have a gift you'd like to share (music, teaching, maintenance, office work, etc.) please reach out to our Pastor or an elder to disucss how your gifts can grow God's Kingdom here on Earth.
